About Our Organization

Food Executive Women (FEW) is a group of professional women working in food-related industries whose main mission is for women involved in the food industry to develop business and social contacts through networking. Since 1991, FEW has been an organization dedicated to offering women an opportunity to support each other while benefitting individually and universally.

Food is the common thread that weaves together our unique membership. Our members are employed in all areas of the food industry--Sales, Marketing, Research and Development, Food Science, Dietetic and Nutritional, Management, Purchasing, Human Resources, and Communications. Our members are employed by large and small companies, some members own their businesses, and other members are independent consultants.

FEW meets 5 times annually at various locations throughout Chicagoland during the months of January, March, May, September, and November. Meetings are designed to facilitate interaction through networking, hands-on food events, and informative presentations by leading food industry businesswomen. The speakers serve as role models who inspire women and encourage us to meet our goals. Topics range from career development in the food industry to challenges women face in business and society.

While any woman in the food industry is welcome to attend our meetings, becoming a member provides discounted meeting costs and our annual membership directory, in addition to networking with industry peers, receiving bi-monthly newsletters, and access to our LinkedIn page which contains industry-specific job postings and articles. Annual dues are $40.
